The benefits of regular corrective peels

If scenes of Samantha Jones from Sex and the City post chemical peel have scarred you for life when it comes to intensive skin treatments, you’re not alone. Skin technology and dermal therapies have come a LONG way since those days and chemical peels are actually one of the most gentle ways rejuvenate skin and address a multitude of concerns.

From treating acne to brightening dull, lacklustre skin, peels can totally transform the appearance, tone and texture of your skin, making them one of the most popular treatments of the modern age.

If you’re yet to experience the magic of a peel, we’ve put together a list of our top 5 reasons why you should be adding a regular peel to your skin regime.

Corrective peels are formulated with clinical-grade acids and peel concentration to effectively treat a range of skin concerns. In general, peels are used to exfoliate the skin and can treat: acne, dehydrated skin, large pores, pigmentation/melasma, dull/lacklustre skin, fine lines, scarring, sun damage and uneven skin tone.

At Blanc, we offer a range of standard peels however each and every treatment is customised in strength for each client, their skin type and needs.

Peels only take about 20-30 minutes, meaning you can pop out for a quick pick-me-up on your lunch break and be back at your desk with glowing, dewy skin for the afternoon!

Peels are super affordable, as there is no fancy equipment involved, just a bespoke cocktail of amazing, high-strength ingredients to supercharge your skin. Our peels start at $129 and increase in price depending on the strength and ingredients. We also offer courses of peels which are the perfect option for best results and value for money.

We know, we know, how on earth could your skincare possibly work any better?! Corrective peels lift away dead skin cells, revealing skin that is not only more radiant, but more receptive too. Your skincare products naturally perform better after a peel because there are no dead cells in their way, they can get straight to work.

If you are new to the world of peels, we always recommend starting slow and gentle and working your way up to higher strength ones as your skins resilience builds. Generally speaking though, the only “side effects” from corrective peels are a bit of redness and for those who’ve had a more intense peel, some light flaking in the few days following. If you are on any prescription strength retinol or Accutane medication, be sure to let your dermal therapist know as you may be better for a more gentle skin treatment.
