Everything you need to know about skin tightening

Skin tightening as an aesthetic treatment is all the rage right now. Over time, our skin loses its elasticity and sagging skin can be hard to target with diet and exercise alone.

Whether its over the cheekbones, around your chin and neck, under your arms or along your waistline, sagging skin doesn’t need to go under the knife anymore! At Blanc we offer a non-surgical, radio frequency skin tightening treatment for skin tightening which rejuvenates the appearance of skin by safely and comfortably heating the tissue under the skin’s surface. This triggers a natural production of collagen and elastin resulting in tighter, smoother and younger looking skin.

Keen to find out more? We’ve put together all you need to know about skin tightening, just in time for summer…

skin tightening

What is skin tightening?
Our skin tightening treatment combines multi-polar radio frequency and pulsed electro magnetic fields, which produce uniform heat under the skin’s surface. The radio frequency causes a thermal reaction in the tissue, which stimulates the body’s natural healing response. This works to increase collagen and elastin, which results in tighter, smoother skin. This process also works to break down the volume of fat cells in the treatment area, which helps to give a slimmer, more contoured shape.

Is skin tightening suitable for me?
Skin tightening is safe and suitable for all skin types. The treatment is perfectly suited for those who are starting to lose elasticity in their skin and showing early signs of sagging and wrinkles.

What happens during the treatment?
Skin tightening treatments are virtually painless. The applicator will slowly get warmer over the area being treated until it reaches the required temperature, where it will stay. If at any point you feel discomfort, let your dermal therapist know.

Is there any downtime?
There is absolutely no downtime associated with skin tightening! Following a treatment, you can return to your daily schedule immediately. In fact, you could even have it done during your lunch break as treatments generally take no more than 30 minutes. Makeup can be applied straight away and there is no at home aftercare required.

How many treatments will I need?
Most clients at Blanc receive 6-8 skin tightening treatments (per area) for best results and treatments can be done once a week. The exact number will depend on each individual person and the area being treated.

How much does skin tightening cost?
At Blanc, our skin tightening treatments are priced at:

Face $200 (single), $1,000 (course of 6)
Neck & jowls $200 (single), $1,000 (course of 6)
Eyes $150 (single), $750 (course of 6)
Eyes (can be added on to any facial) $100
